I am very much against the rule change. I had multiple instances of companies leaving unwanted messages on my answering machine and using pre-recorded calls to advertize their products. Regulations in current form allow compny all necessary means to contact customers, therefore no change is needed. Should the change be implemented, a specific verbiage is needed that would clearly say "Companies are not allowed to call numbers on national or regional do-not-call list regardless of means of delivering the communication (be it pre-recorded, live or other communication service)". Additional penalties will be levied on companies disguising caller-id and/or other identifying information, as well as on customers of companies, doing calling on behalf of third parties".
