Comments:
I am against any additional flexibility in telemarketing. I signed up for the DO NOT CALL list, because I specifically DO NOT desire to be solicited over the phone. I have not yet received a call from a company I am interested in doing business with, and a prerecorded message will convey no information to me. I do not desire to receive any more calls, and pre-recorded calls are more annoying than any other kind to me. When will you people realize that no one appreciates telemarketing calls. We want fewer, not more, -courtesy calls- from large corporations. When I do have an existing business relationship with a company, that relationship consists SOLELY of the company delivering to me a product or service and my paying for it. It does NOT give the company the privilege of annoying me over the telephone. I am AGAINST this change to the rules for telemarketing and request that you do NOT ammend the rules to allow ANY additional flexibility in telemarketing.
