Comments:
I am shocked and disappointed that the FTC has chosen to consider this rule change allowing pre-recorded telemarketing calls from merchants who have a "pre-established relationship" with the caller. Since some merchants consider being asked not to call anymore to be a pre-established relationship, such a qualification is meaningless to the consumer and an open invitation for abuse by the unscrupulous. Please, do not succumb to the pressure of the telemarketing industry at the expense of the public whose interests you are sworn to protect. Thank you for reading my comments.
