What part of ``Do NOT Call'' do you not understand? These exemptions would immediately snowball into a flood of marketing calls by companies claiming some tenuous ``business relationship'' with every person they wished to annoy - which, in an era of free long distance and automated dialers, means they could annoy every person with a telephone number. The purpose of the FTC Do-Not-Call list is exactly what its title implies: to PREVENT telemarketing calls. Not to open up exemptions to commercial businesses. Not now, not ever. Citizens have spoken in overwhelming numbers by placing themselves on the DNC list. Respect our voices. Drop this stupid idea before it proceeds any further.
