Comments:
I am distressed to hear that the FTC is considering opening a loophole of sorts in the "Do Not Call" registry. This proposal, which would allow companies with "established business relationships" to call the comsumer with prerecorded messages. This is an absurd end-run around the purpose of the DNC list, which is intended to freee consumers from the headaches of unwanted phone calls. This proposal would undo much of what was achieved by the Do Not Call list. Please do not allow it to go into effect.
