Telemarketers have ample opportunity to contact their customers to conduct business as is. I vehemently oppose this change to the FTC policy. If adopted, I expect the definition of "existing business relationship" to be stretched to absured limits to allow marketers access to the home market. Additionally, given the low costs of mass telephone marketing, I expect that this would lead back to a barrage of ringing telephones during a family's leisure time reminiscent of the bad old days prior to the Do Not Call list. Please do not permit this change.
