Dear Sirs, Please do not enact the proposed amendment. I do not wish to receive telemarketing calls of any sort whatsoever, especially not prerecorded messages, even if I have an established business relationship with the telemarketing company. Enrolling in the Do Not Call list has been wonderful for me, as it has allowed me many peaceful evenings and prevented much frustration. I strongly prefer for the national Do Not Call list to remain as it is. If you really see a compelling need to allow prerecorded messages in certain cases, why not make the receipt of such messages optional when a citizen enrolls in the Do Not Call list program? This could be either an Opt-in or an Opt-out option. I would certainly choose not to receive such messages, and I am sure many others would as well. Please keep our peace in mind as you proceed. Sincerely, David DeVault Ph.D. student, Rutgers University
