To allow the telemarketing industry to make regulated marketing calls to people, prerecorded or not, is absurd. The whole intention of a privacy act is that we have that - privacy! I never want to be called by solicitors, ever, and wouldn't support a measure which gives them any opportunity to do so. We ought to be able to sit in peace at home without people having the opportunity to intrude and try to turn a profit off us.
