I do not like the proposed amendment. I am very happy with telemarketer-free phone that I have right now. If you will accept the amendment, it will infringe my rights to privacy and enjoying a quiet and peaceful life. As a private person, I do not wish to receive calls from businesses, even if they already supply valuable services to me. I think that the regular postal mail, TV and the Internet are sufficient for businesses to inform me about new services and merchandise that they may have. If I need new services or merchandise, I will inquire the businesses myself. What I do not want to have is to receive telemarketing calls that interrupt my quiet enjoyment.
