What part of "I DON'T WANT ANY OF THESE PHONE CALLS" does the FTC not understand. My family continues to sign up for list after list to stay away from these annoying calls. If someone came to my door, and rang my bell 10 times per day. I would be able to call the police on them. But if someone calls me 10 times per day to sell me something, inform me of their business or organization, or just plain annoy me, I can do nothing. For once, do what is right for the American Consumer. If someone signs up to be on the list then don't create loopholes for telemarketers to "call" us. Why not create a list instead of people who want their calls. Granted NONE of the people who signed up to be on the "Do Not Call List" would sign up for it... Please do not allow any calls to come through. If we wanted to do business with any of these companies, we would call them ourselves. Prior to the creation of the Do Not Call List we would receive in excess of 10 to 15 calls per day. We would turn our phones off during the evening, not being able to receive calls from friends and relatives that we would liked to have spoken with. We had to add every available blocking feature on our phone service, which was not inexpensive to do. Again, please keep the do not call list intact as it was intended to protect those of us that do not want these calls. Thank you.
