Short: 2 thumbs way down. Long: Unsolicited sales and marketing in a PRIVATE forum is not something that I consider to be an acceptible business practice, and it is certainly not something that should be *encouraged* by the FTC. The word unsolicited may be open to interpretation, but to me this is entirely plain: "this number is private, please don't call" means just that. Just me having been in contact with Company X should not be taken to mean that I am implicitly encouraging them to "go ahead and call me sometime." This would be entirely inconsistent with the whole point (for consumers) of a do-not-call list. I feel that this amendment is contrary to the intent of both the Telemarketing Sales Rule and the FTC in general. **I strongly encourage it's rejection.** Ladies and Gentlement of the FTC: please, keep to the consumer protections. Sincerly, Chris Anderson
