This amendment is completely unnecessary. There are already existing provisions for companies "with an established relationship" to call people on the list. In my opinion, automated calling is even worse than regular telemarketing. It tells the consumer that they are not worth talking to in person. We already receive these types of calls where I work, and every single one of them gets hung up on. They are a waste of time and resources. Adding an amendment to allow these types of calls is pointless and will only serve to annoy consumers further.
