When a pre-recorded telephone message is answered, a potential disaster is possible. For instance, my family experiences an armed home invasion at the moment a pre-recorded telephone ad is placed to my phone.... I cannot call 911 until the pre-recording hangs up on the other end. If I hang up, and pick up, the message is still playing!! Or, if a medical emergency happens while a pre-recorded message is being delivered to my phone, I cannot call for help until the pre-recording hangs up. If I hang up, and pick up, the message is still playing!! This becomes a potentially life-threatening issue, and when (not if) this scenario plays out, there will be responsible parties held accountable. Please, for the safety of the public, DO NOT open a loophole to allow companies to deliver ''pre-recorded message telemarketing.''
