When we signed up for the Do Not Call list we did not want to be called. Period. By any organization, not tele-marketeers, not political organizations, not charitable organizations. No body. (I know that several of these groups were excepted from the the Do Not Call coverage. What I wanted was a Do Not Call list that meant Do Not Call for everybody. THis proposal to allow automated recorded messaging is unexceptable. I do not want to hear -- even by recorded messages - from anyone trying to sell me something. While people can ignore salesmen coming to their door, you can't ignore the telephone in your house, so it is especially abusive to permit salesman to badger private citizens in their homes.
