Since the implementation of the Do Not Call Registry I have been able to eat dinner in peace and have enjoyed it. If the rules are changed I will be upset. This change is unnecessary and will not result in anything but irate customers. I registered for the list because I did not want to receive any telemarketing calls, why does the FTC believe I would want to receive pre-recorded messages? If it is necessary to change the rules then make it OPT-IN and place a hefty fine on a per-call basis for the telemarketers who ignore the opt-in rules. If I want information from a business I will call them!
