Comments:
I strongly oppose the relaxation of the Do Not Call List regulations to allow the delivery of more prerecorded messages to list signatories. This relaxation would mark the beginning of a slippery slope that, combined with VoIP technologies, would potentially innundate homes with unwanted calls. Individuals who have signed the Do Not Call List have clearly and proactively indicated their desire to avoid marketing calls. Relaxing the rules to allow more marketing calls, even with a preexisting business relationship requirement, is contrary to the intent of the Do Not Call registry.
