I signed myself and everyone else in my family who expressed an interest in the do-not-call list as well as supported the decision to enact this law to preserve privacy and peace among my, and many american, homes. It appalls me that the FTC is even considering creating a loophole of any sort to allow telemarketing firms to continue their spam attacks against private individuals, pre-recorded or not. Further, I would wish that anti-telemarketing and anti-spam laws were TOUGHER on the offenders, having had several instances where Telemarketers were downright rude, hostile, and offensive when I told them I was not interested. Thankfully I have not had to deal with such things since the do not call list was enacted, and I would thoroughly encourage the FTC, along with all of my fellow americans, to push for tougher legislation.
