As one of the earlier signers in the first state to adopt a no-call list, I vehemently object to your "loophole" interpretation!!!! If allowed, my home business fax could be disabled for 1-3 hours/day. Even today, after all the publicity, I still receive 1-4 illegal calls and several unsolicited faxes per month. Each one can cost me $10,000-30,000 in business revenues. During the election campaign I had 5- 20 minute messages left on my answering machine, disrupting my everyday business activities, and if you give the proposed exemption, I would suffer even greater disruption of my daily life and earnings potential. In addition, many of these illegal calls/faxes occur during the middle of the night, jeopardizing my health and productivity in the ensuing days. Bury this proposal now or we will be calling those responsible early and often!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
