I understand that the FTC is contemplating creating or widening a loophole in the do-not-call registry list allowing pre-recorded messages to be sent to those whom the businesses already have an established relationship with. I would urge you to please refrain from doing this. I put myself on the list becuase of the time I waste answering calls from people trying to sell me something. I don't mind being solicited when I go outside my house, either physically, via television, radio or TV. But I resent having salespeople entering my house via the phone without my permission. If you are going to create this loophole, then you must provide caller ID for free to all those who desire it so that we can be proactive in screening these calls out. Marketing firms will not be harmed irrepairably, they will only have to be more creative. That's not a bad thing. We signed up for this list as a statement of our desire to vote with our feet. Allow us that, at least. Thank you.
