Do NOT allow the loop hole. Everybody signed up becase we DON'T WANT THE CALLS. The automated calls routinely jam your phone, making you unable to use your own line! What if there's an emergency? You can't even call 911! I pay for a phone for _people_ to call us (friends and family), NOT companies and NOT strangers representing companies. If we're interested in something WE will FIND THEM ourselves (it's called a SEARCH ENGINE). We have NEVER bought anything from a phone solicitation nor will we ever. It's bad enough that broadband is in a pitiful state in the US. (Yeah, new services are being added all the time you say. Yeah, in the places they're not needed because they're covered by existing already available services!). Don't add insult to injury and take something away that people obviously want - protection from annoying calls from unwanted companies trying to sell you something.
