|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:I understand that you are considering allowing companies to deliver pre-recorded telemarketing messages to those on the Do-Not-Call Registry with whom they supposedly have pre-existing business relationships. I strongly oppose such a regulation, because it would undo the wonderful effects of the Do-Not-Call Registry. Being subject to unsolicited advertising calls at home is entirely unacceptable and any attempt to water down Do-Not-Call is misconceived. Mr. Hile should do something useful for consumers -- like figuring out how to end the pestilence of spyware, which now affects most computers in the U.S..
