Comments:
The Do Not Call registry should not be weakened or watered down by an amendment to the Telemarketing Sales Rule. Consumers who have registered on the Do Not Call registry have done so to reduce or eliminate solicitations of all kinds - including prerecorded messages. Marketers wishing to reach consumers have other means - namely the postal service - which can be used for delivering one way communications (the effective result of a prerecorded message).
