When I signed up for the National Do Not Call List, I thought finally the Government is doing something good and right in protecting consumers from annoying phone calls from telemarketers. Unfortunately I do not share the same optimism that the loophole that intends to be opened will not be abused. For example, what is defined as a existing relationship, this could easily be abused by companies that may of had a relationship in the past and claim it to still exist I also do not feel comfortable with the opt out plan, since this has already been abused by companies (and is a dismal failure of the CAN-SPAM act.). Please, do not open the National Do Not Call List to this or any other abuse. Thank you.
