I signed up for the do-not-call list so that marketing agencies, advertisers, spammers and other people out for my time and money do not bother me anymore. Now there is a danger that a flood of calls to "deliver a prerecorded message" can bother me and my family, and even worse, my number will be provided by the do-not-call list. I strongly urge the decision makers at the FTC to clearly reject this proposal and stand up for the consumers. I will feel betrayed and sold if this measure is approved. I really believed that the do-not-call list is for the benefit of me and my family; something we can use to protect our privacy. If this measure is approved, it will be exploited to no end, and the FTC must know this. It is a loophole, and there is SOME interest behind the force that wants to create it. I hope the FTC will not make the decision to let this measure go through. I hope the FTC will stand up for me and reject any loopholes like this. I want to trust the FTC, and rejecting any loopholes to my privacy will put the FTC into a very positive light.
