Please do not initiate a change to the do not call rules. I was under the impression when I signed up for the list that I would no longer have my family subjected to numerous unwanted calls. In that respect it has dramatically minimized the number of calls we receive. However, I personally find pre-recorded and/or computerized calls even more annoying than calls from a human. These calls not only take time to answer, they cost money in terms of used voice mail/ answering machine space and potentially force one to miss important messages due to limited recording time. If the purpose of the FTC is to protect the consumer, then it seems a change like this could only be reasonable if consumers would be allowed to opt-in to allow recorded messages rather than be forced to opt-out.
