The introduction of the Do Not Call list was the smartest thing the FTC could possibly have done. Please do not permit *ANY* watering down of this measure by permitting businesses to make unsolicited calls to my telephone. I firmly believe that many businesses will find ways to claim (falsely) that they have an established business relationship with me, but I do not tolerate unsolicited calls to my phone from businesses that *do* have a legitimate business relationship with me. On the occasions that it has happened, I have demanded that my account be marked such that I may not be contacted in any way for any action that I have not initiated. Please do not make me go through this with businesses that think they can invent a business relationship with me.
