It is my feeling that if an 'established business relationship' exists between myself and an individual or corporation, any telephone communications that we take part in should involve an actual person and not a prerecorded message. If I take the time to have a conversation on the phone I expect those that I conduct business with to do so as well. Also, since I have requested to be on the Do-Not-Call list, I expect that I not be called by any business trying to solicit their product, even when that involves a recording of a message. This seems to me to be a sneaky way to allow the incessant annoyance that is telemarketing phone calls. I hope that FTC makes a decision based on the rights of their constituents and not the corporations that may benefit from lax regulation.
