Please DO NOT allow pre-recorded messages. It is extremely annoying to interrupt what you are doing to answer the telephone and find that it is a pre-recorded telemarketing message that you didn't want to hear anyway. If you allow this, you will force me to always let the answering machine pick up the phone call so I can screen which calls I want to return. This distances me from my friends and family or other people to whom I DO wish to speak.
