Please, please, PLEASE DO NOT allow telemarketers to deliver pre-recorded messages to our homes, businesses, answering machines or voice mails. People who are chronically ill (my late husband), are disabled, or are indisposed in any way are plagued by these nuisances that interrupt thought, therapy, medical care, or activity that is diversion from pain. These calls are unwanted interruptions for all of us!!! The messages left on our answering machines and voice mails take up space and time much better used for personal and business messages. Please completely restrict any contact by phone from solicitors/companies to those of us who have signed up on the Do Not Call Registry. We register there for a reason, that being we do not want these interruptions! If a company wants our business, they can send us something through the mail or advertize in print or electronic media. But these telephonic intrusions into our personal space and time when we are concentrating on other things are most disruptive. We should be free to shop when and where we choose, not be victims of companies' marketing tactics that intrude into our home and business lives at times that may be most inconvenient for us. Thank you for inviting comment on this issue.
