Gentlemen, please accept this as my request to prohibit any changes to the curret position of the FTC to limit spam voice/computer messages left on home phone answering machines. By the same reasoning as limiting unsolicited cold calls I believe the calls to answering machines be so limited. regardless of whether I have done business with the advertiser in the past. If my phone rings I go to pick it up unless it is an unidentified caller. Thus if this call is from an advertiser then I will have to wait until the message is delivered and then erase the message. Why would you put this inconvenience on the American public. There are numerous other ways to advertise without the encroachment of this type of advertisement disturbing the public. If I have an established relationship with a company that leaves unsolicited advertising messages with me I can tell you that the business relationship will be terminated if at all possible. This will not work in the advertiser's favor. Thank you, G. Cook
