The national Do Not Call List should be exactly that. I do not want any more calls from anyone trying to sell me anything. If there is a disconnect between FTC and FCC rules then it it the FCC that should make the change. Both agencies should be in the business of protecting the consumer first and foremost. It is bad enough that I receive junk mail via the USPS and Spam over the internet. I thought the Do Not Call Registry would stop at least one form of garbage communication. If you allow precorded messages to be sent over the phone lines you are headed in the opposite direction of what is needed. Now, can you also stop the political and non-profit calls?
