I am opposed to your proposed rule to allow companies to deliver prerecorded message telemarketing. Since the national Do Not Call Registry began my household has seen a noticeable decline in obnoxious telemarketing calls. However, charitable organizations, which are exempt from the list, have stepped in and increased their telemarketing efforts. We do not need to be bombarded by prerecorded messages clogging our answering machines and disturbing our family dinners. Please do not allow this proposed rule change to proceed. At the very least, make it an opt-in plan. Our time with our families is precious, do not allow these entities to infringe on our free time.
