|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:NO! Please. No more exceptions. No telemarketing phone calls. Do not call MEANS DO NOT CALL!! There are already so many exceptions (e.g., the non-profits) that another exception is not tolerable. Calls from people and organizations we did not initiate. I detest having to pay for calls I do not want to receive – cell phone or otherwise. The fact they are recorded is no exception. The fact they may be from some company with which we have done business is no exception. Furthermore, my wife and I are both disabled and have sleep problems that are made worse by disturbances such as unsolicited phone calls. We are unable to schedule our sleep to coincide with normal waking time when most of these calls would occur. We can't turn off our phone because we need to be accessible to other family members 24x7.
