Preferably the FTC would require an "opt-in" system, but if that is unobtainable we could probably live with an "opt-out" system. In short - our telephone is maintained at our expense for our convenience, not for the convenience of telemarketers! In our household we will discountinue doing business with any company or organization using pre-recorded telephone sales calls. In a perfect society there would be no telemarketers.
