I will keep this simple and to the point. I placed myself on the No Call List for one simple reason: I was sick and tired of having my dinner time with my family being interrupted by telemarkers wishing to sell me widgets or whatever. 65,000,000 people on that list seem to agree with me. The recent national elections prove the fallacy in the FTC's contention that allowing pre-recorded messages "will not have any dramatic effects". During the political season, I received 4 to 6 pre-recorded messages per day including at meal time. The FTC is simply not in tune with reality here: people do not want telemarketers calling their home in any form period. Sincerely, Rodger Blair
