|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:There is no room for interpretation regarding the list entitled "DO NOT CALL". It seems pretty clear to me! It does not give approval for businesses of which I have had prior relationship to ignore my wishes and call me anyway. If I wanted telemarketers to call me, I would not have signed up for that list. There are over 100 million telephones in the US. Let the telemarketers call the 35 million (or so) who are not on the list. Hands-off the rest. There is a reason why we signed up. Plug the loopholes! Thank you.
