Your proposal to allow pre-recorded telemarketing calls is outrageous. We got on the "do not call" list to avoid ALL telemarketing calls, pre-recorded or otherwise. In the newspaper article I read this morning, the FTC says "it does not believe the change would have any dramatic results." Maybe not for the FTC, but it would dramatically irritate the recipients (victims) of the telemarketing calls. Allen Hile is quoted as saying that if people object to the calls, they could "opt out" of receiving further calls. How ridiculous! Why does he think people signred up on the "do not call" list in the first place? Give the public a break and stop all telemarketing calls. They are an invasion of our privacy!
