The telemarketers could not ask for a better ruling. This will allow them to increase calls while cutting costs of paying employees by simply recording their sales pitch and using a computer telephone dialing system. While I realize it is very difficult to underestimate the intelligence of a Washington bureaucrat, as evidenced by FTC's comment that it does not believe the change will have any dramatic results, I have to believe someone in the FTC has been paid off very well to support the destruction of a program that works so well.
