There is a good reason that such an overwhelming number of people signed up to be on the "Do Not Call Registry." As the name implies, people do not want to be called. Period. Companies these days are so interconnected that it will be very easy for almost all of them to claim some pre-existing relationship with whom they are calling using this new proposed loophole change. I have been extremely happy so far with the results of the Do Not Call list and have noticed a great reduction in the solicitations I receive. Please do not ruin a good thing done for all to be altered by a group of powerful businesses that are obviously desperate. Sincerely, Michael Thompson Tucson, AZ
