If you wish to have your rules match the FCC's, have them change their rules! I do not want any telemarketers, recorded or otherwise, to call my phone that I pay for for my own (not their) convenience. Moreover, if you were truly interested in serving the public, you would require an opt-in arrangement, rather than the stupid opt-out arrangement encoded in current law. (In fact, you should further support strong laws limiting similar crap on the internet.). The fact that I once upon a time bought something from a company does not mean that I wish to be harassed via phone by that company. One more thing...how about asking Congress to remove the exemption for political organizations. I can live with charities if I must, but the political crap is just too much.
