Comments:
I object strongly to the proposed changes in the telemarketing safe harbor rules which will permit companies with which I do business to make unauthorized uninvited and unwelcome prerecorded calls to my home or business telephones. I especially object to the opting out requirement which has been so greviously exploited by firms to date. I promise that, should the proposed rule be adopted, I shall call and or write the businesses and appropriate regulatory agencies to complain when I receive such messages to be sure the responsible parties also receive an abundance of unsolicited unauthorized unwelcome telephone calls.
