I oppose the proposed amendment. The recent political campaign, during which my home phone was flooded daily with unwelcome prerecorded political messages, was enough to convince me that we should do all we can to prohibit such invasive practices. I never, ever purchase any product or service, or vote for any candidate, as a result of receiving a telemarketing call. These calls are a waste of my time, and I resent them. Please do not allow or encourage any further invasive sales methods.
