Comments:

I really object to any invasion of my privacy by telemarketers. The idea that I have an "established business relationship" with a company from whom I have bought something in the last year and a half or whose web-site I have contacted in the last quarter is sheer lunacy. That this should allow them to foul my answering machine with prerecorded messages is unconscionable. I sincerely hope ther FTC has the good common sense to realize that its new proposed rule will be nothing but an annoyance and vitiates the National Do Not Call Registry which has brought us all such blessed relief from telemarketing calls. Sincerely, Eric Stietzel
