I buy phone service for my own use. Businesses who use my phone to advertise are stealing my property just as surely as if they put billboards on my front lawn. I always thought Republicans wanted to protect property rights but apparently it is only Rupert Murdoch's ownership of the airwaves that Chairman Powell cares about---not the phone lines of millions of Americans. If companies I do business with want to use my phone, let them get a license from me to do so just as most internet companies do before dumping ads onto my computer.
