Comments:
The Telemarketing Sales Rule and Do Not Call Registry has been the government rule that has most improved the quality of my home life in my adult life, and I oppose in the most vehement terms any attempt to weaken, dilute, or render it less stringent. My work often requires taking calls at home to address crisis situations, and screening calls to avoid telemarketers simply added tension and stress to my home life. And I fundamentally oppose and resent the invasion of my home privacy for commercial purposes through the telephone. I shouldn't have to purchase additional devices or technical services to avoid having my home activities interrupted by commercial entities. No business has an "established business relationship" with me that would validate their contacting me at home by telephone. All contact with businesses that I authorize is by email or postal mail. Thank you for your work on behalf of citizens like me.
