Comments:
Now that the FTC has finally given the consumer some rights not to be constantly under barrage by phone peddlers, now it wants to take away some of those same rights it gave by allowing companies to call with a prerecorded message. In the eyes (or ears) of the consumer, exactly what IS the difference between a live and a prerecorded message? There is none--both are a source of irritation and annoyance. If we have a prior business connection, they can send me mail. I respectfully request that the FTC be firm and a proponent for positive change on behalf of consumers; do NOT approve or pass this amendment to the Telemarketing Sales Rule.
