| To Whom it May Concern: It would be a tragedy to allow telemarketers to have more rights than the private citizen. I am receiving calls from 7:00 am up until 9:00 pm seven days a week from telemarketers who leave scripted messages or are live voices. It is an irritance that I cannot feel comfortable picking up the telephone anymore without having telemarketers on the other end. I am now rudely hanging up the phone which makes me irritable afterwards. My parents and in-laws don't like leaving messages on our phone. Now I have to pick up the phone consistantly to keep in touch with them as they are old school. Government is not protecting us enough as it is. How can you even think about loosening up your restrictions!!! I feel a prisoner of my own home being invaded every day no matter if it is the weekend. I shouldn't be awakened in the morning at 7 am on the weekends. The weekends are time for relaxation to help us recover from the stresses of working a full week. Please do not loosen the restrictions but make it limited as to the hours of the day they can call. Telemarkerers should be stopped from calling between certain hours no matter where they are calling from. Lynn Hurrle |
