Subject: Cigarette and Smokeless Tobacco Reports We strongly urge the FTC to continue to issue your annual reports on the sales, advertising and promotion of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products. These reports have a significant role in contributing to public health protection. They enable health advocates to educate the public regarding the intensity and strategy of the industries' continued marketing to children and specific demographic segments, and supply the health community with information to be used to counter the tobacco marketing, thus reducing the disease and death toll on our society.
