The Identity Theft Task Force of the Federal Trade Commission is seriously considering outlawing the use of SSNs. Please reconsider this issue, we are a repossession company, we do back ground checks on each of our employee for pre-employement purposes. Regarding repossession, we need the infomation of the person SS# inorder to locate that person and or secure the unit, due to to customer not paying for the loan. If units aren't recovered millions of dollar will go unrecovered and most financial instuitions can't with stand large losses. From the beginning to the end we are in need of such. Can there be a limited use of it...for purpose such as back ground check....Repossession, collection or disposal? How will companies and my church check out persons who want to work within our business, how do we know they can be trusted. We want to protect kids and people from bad people. Please reconsider some limited use of it.
