This consent agreement is a joke. If the FTC wants to send a message to these companies, they should be shut down. That will really send a message that the FTC is serious about security and protecting consumers. The consent agreement should be rejected, and theses companies should be criminally prosecuted. I am sure that these companies will simply consider these consent agreements to be a cost of doing business, and continue to endanger consumer information to the extent they can do so. They have proved that they are simply interested in making money.
